Dave Franco And IFC Films Partner For 'The Rental'

IFC Films has just announced their acquisition of The Rental, an upcoming horror film and the directorial debut of Dave Franco. The film is co-written by Franco and fellow filmmaker Joe Swanberg, who horror fans may recognize for his acting roles in films such as Eli Roth’s The Sacrament and the new-school horror anthology V/H/S where he also featured as a director. The film, starring Alison Brie, Dan Stevens, Sheila Vand, and Jeremy Allen White, centers around two couples on a weekend excursion where distrust and an ominous presence casts their peaceful retreat into disaster.
