The newest release from Cryo Chamber gives us celestial ambience detailing the grandeur of alien civilizations, whose glory is lost to the folds of time and space. Creation of a Star is the debut release by Planet Supreme on the Cryo Chamber dark ambient label, and the themes and tones contained herein fit perfectly with the label’s oeuvre - languorous momentum is the impetus with these tracks of slowly transfiguring pads and wash-out synths, allowing the addition of small percussion and synth stabs to generate an almost expository display of alien landscapes and architecture - vistas of incalculable opulence, yet languid in fossilized imagination.

The album is beautifully (and briefly) described as ‘an analogue fueled retro space ambient album for dreaming of fallen alien civilizations’. Certain movements within the structures of the evolving pads and drones help convey topographical nuance to the alien landscapes of the mind, but also colossal scales of ships and derelict craft, drifting solitary among the nebulae, testament tombs to erstwhile forgotten life; with song titles that even help guide the imagination to more terrestrial climes, such as the song, ‘Black Earth’, whose sweeping synths that ride atop a crescendo analog drone pad help build a diorama of landscape in your mind.

Planet Supreme delivers a thoughtful display of meticulous diorama - droning synth and analog pads ease the songs forward with enough energy behind them to propel your imagination into the far reaches of space at your own relaxed leisure. Creation of a Star is available on the Cryo Chamber Bandcamp page in CD Digipak and digital format.
