The Candy Witch is the newest offering from indie VOD darlings, Uncork'd Entertainment. The synopsis reads as simple as one could possibly hope: "The Candy Witch seeks vengeance on the wealthy family that wronged her" and yet, it is this very idea that makes The Candy Witch enjoyable. Rather than try and appeal to a standard or trope, and thereby failing to capture a grandiose notion, The Candy Witch embraces its tried and true folk horror trappings, and delivers exactly what it promises.
